Our bodies go through lots of changes as we age.
Stretching is very important in keeping us active and mobile.
The benefits of stretching include:
– Reduced risk of falling
– Pain relief
– Improves range of motion

Some tips for starting a stretching regime
– Always warm your muscles up before you start – walking around for a few minutes is a good start
– Stop stretching once you feel tension – do not stretch to the point that it is painful
– Breathing is very important – be aware of your breathing – inhale as you begin and exhale as you hold the stretch
– Aim to hold your stretch for 30 seconds – do this slowly and with practise do not exert yourself
